Youngblood-Barrett Construction and Engineering (YBCE) is a design-build general contracting company organized in 1997 by its founding partners, Joe Youngblood and Erwin Barrett, PE. YBCE is licensed for heavy, municipal, and building construction.

Mr. Barrett is a Structural and Project Engineer with twenty five years of experience in industrial and commercial projects. He functions as YBCEs’ Principal Engineer and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Youngblood has forty years of municipal and commercial construction experience and functions as YBCE’s chief estimator and Chief Operations Officer. Their combined skills allow YBCE to bring a unique blend of internal design-build talents together to deliver quality construction and engineering to a broad range of projects.

To control costs and quality, YBCE self performs concrete, steel erection and custom mill work. YBCE wood working capabilities include custom and institutional case work, specialty moldings and doors, and custom formworks. YBCE employs steel erectors with both metal building and heavy steel erection capabilities.

YBCE’s in house engineering services include:

• structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering,
• scheduling and purchasing
• and construction estimating and management.

By using a project task force approach and by regulating their growth, YBCE controls its overhead allowing it them to offer quality services at competitive rates.
